Tinted glass crafting recipe make sense beacause of 4 amythiest shard=1 block and combine 1 block of glass you will get two

I have a hard time finding the fortress
I've done Lush Caves only survival (technically I used the Caves option rather than Single Biome but most advice should apply to either pretty well). Some suggestions for anyone else who wants to try it:
1. Make a composter as soon as possible. Wood is rare, but moss and azalea bushes are very common. Use your first azalea tree (they do spawn in the Caves mode, rarely. They also spawn above ground in Single Biome) to make a composter, use the composter to make more azalea trees.
2. Fishing is great. Switch your diet of glow berries and zombie flesh to cooked salmon and maybe get some enchanted books along the way. Fishing is also the only way to get non-glow ink sacs if you need those for whatever reason, and is also a source of other useful items such as glass bottles.
3. Speaking of enchanted books, sugar cane doesn't exist so if you want an enchanting setup you either need to fish (or barter) for 46 enchanted books and disenchant them, or find a stronghold and loot the library. Similarly, the only source of sugar for fermented spider eyes for weakness potions for getting villagers is a witch. I trapped and nametagged a zombie villager but simply never found the sugar I needed to cure him.
It was a fun challenge and I recommend it to anyone else interested.

Oh great now wattles is on the life hack train. Such an overused word it's lame lmao.
Interestingly…glow squids will spawn in a zombie xp farm, die, the zombies will pick up the ink sacs, then drop them when you kill them. I got 26 glow sacs one Minecraft session.

I had a zombie yesterday carrying 56 glowing ink-sacks…I know its probaly a bug, but no more squid hunting for me.
