Ok guys, I think I know how the map knew Dan's full name, I've got a theory:
In the beginning of the video where Dan was in the lobby, you can see several armor stands of youtubers in a small area. This could mean that the map will prioritize those youtubers and when one of them plays the map, it will detect their name and that's how in Dan's case, he got his full name, and this could happen to other youtubers if they play the map.
P/s: there's a command in Minecraft called /execute and it allows you to detect or check anything as long as it meets the requirements.
For instance: /execute if entity @a[name=DanTDM] run "the command you desire". In this case, it prints out Dan's full name.
