Actually the unicorn thingy is called a Pegasus (plural-Pegasi). They are white winged horses. The were created when Perseus cut Medusa's head (Medusa could not give birth as she was a gorgon so the Pegasus grew up inside Medusa and when Perseus cut Medusa's head the first Pegasus was set free)
