Well, considering as how you have an iron farm set up, you should start using iron swords for the bamboo farm so that you aren't constantly using durability on the diamond sword.

When I sort my chests in minecraft I just put a item showing what generally is in there like my chest with iron on it stores almost all my valueboles I keep all of my diamonds on me 🙂
