nice tutorial although when I download it (1.17.1) it doesnt do coffee cup icon and it doesnt download. I just started java yesterday so idk how this works lol

i just installed java, but for some reason the optifine file is not a java file, it just says preview_optifine something. Can someone help me?
its never as easy as the tutorials. its just an internet explorer file, i drag it into resource packs, "cannot identify", i open it and it just opens internet explorer. i thought this would help.
