  1. i couldn't decide if i wanted to buy the cookbook because i'd been saving up for something else, but when ann said she tested out all those variations of cupcakes and went through all these troubles for a troubleshoot section i immediately made up my mind and went and pre-ordered the book! ToT
ann is just too good for this world :')

also the question asking 'what dessert would you want to be' for the giveaway query brought up good memories of my mother's baking, so i hope (and am pretty sure) that the cookbook can make my mom happy! 😀

  2. Umm.. Idk if this can be counted as a cake, it's more of a cookie/ crepe type I guess. But maybe, rather than making a cake, using the technique you would normally do for a cake. Make one with the idea of a thin crispy cookie instead. So with it being unable to be fluffy, make it crispy instead. So using the same 1st recipe for the cake, you bake it thinly instead, as thin as 5mm- 1 cm. Or you can use the same 1st cake recipe but add more milk for it to be as thin as a crepe batter. And you would bake/cook it very thinly, creating as many as tens to a hundred layers. And for the filling, you would make one more similar to that of custard, instead of like ermine frosting. So the filling would be more looser, and the thinly baked cookie or crepe can then absorb that excess moisture. I guess the idea is somehow similar to that of a tiramisu. So yeah.. I thought this may taste a bit more pleasant, but idk..

  3. How old were you when you first started cooking? I've wanted to bake cakes for so long but I've never had the time or the money (since im under 18 and my parents never let me go that wild) and I have always been that one person who stays up all night watching cooking shows on netflix while everyone else is sleeping😂

  4. I know the result would have been really weird but I was actually curious to see what would have happened if you used all that wheat powder (not just the white part) and all 10 liters of milk 😆.
We have a recipe in Algeria called Garantita that uses chickpea flour, water, oil, 2eggs and milk, and there's so much more water and milk than flour that when you put it in the oven it's actually liquid, but after 1 hour in the oven it has a flan consistency. So I'm thinking maybe the 10 liters of milk of the mine craft recipe + the 1,7kg of flour would have resulted in a cake with a texture similar to Garantita. Except you might have needed a huuuge cake mould and like 3hours of cooking time😅, but maybe in the end it would've been as big as the actual minecraft cake

  5. Taking fictional game recipes seriously sounds like fun. Reminds me of someone online I know online who tries to recreate Cooking Mama recipes exactly how the games portrayed it.
And I guess the Minecraft crafting table looks like a really useful house gadget if you think about it. Not only it can cut up wood and rocks, it can turn wheat into flour, turn sugarcane into sugar and bake a cake.
