Did the dns trick so I don’t have to have my phone out for kid to play. BS that you have to even do this on consoles. Kinda goes against the premise of bedrock edition.

no matter what i do the servers come up without the “join to Open Server List”, i’ve tried every address that yoi showed with every secondary address and all the same result. i’ve tried the app multiple times both with and without ethernet but still nothing shows up on the friends page. can you please help

This was so helpful, because all the other YouTubers just assume you’re in America so only show the American dns, so I was very happy when you put the uk dns since the American one doesn’t work for me here

Really don't understand why they just don't implement the same way you do it on pc bedrock.
This was the way I got it to work a few months ago but now it’s asking for a Subnet Mask instead of secondary IP (on Xbox 1s) was there an update that changed? The 1s and 8s no longer work
For those wondering why these tricks won't work now (I'm on Xbox series s) is because they removed the Minecraft Starter Collection from the store. Now there is another bundle called Minecraft Deluxe Collection and it's basically a patched version of the game. Mods and custom servers on this version WON'T WORK!

What if they both don’t work
This consistently worked for me every day for months to access external Minecraft servers. Two days ago, I tried to get on and it hasn’t worked. I have disconnected from internet, changed the dns to multiple different codes, updated everything and it still is not working. Every single time I click on a server it sends me to the actual server I’m clicking on instead of bringing up the external server menu. I’m wondering if they recently patched this, or if it’s something I’m doing wrong. I’ve been using my Xbox series s for this with no issue for so long now. I’m super bummed
