  1. I finally figured out why it would show on the dropdown list for me. I had to close not only the launcher, but also the game itself. I was closing only the launcher

  2. The problem I had: The thing not showing up in the thing even after following all the steps.

The solution: Close the launcher and try it again, or make sure the launcher was closed from the start. (Possibly also close the game itself if you have it running, but it wasn’t for me.)

I only saw one other person comment this, and it was buried in replies to a different comment, so it might just be one of many possible problems. Idk

  3. The solution to the pending 1.18 snapshot not showing up in the drop-down menu in your minecraft launcher is because you have to take the file inside the main file out and then put it in your versions folder. But only go one layer deep. If go inside the file thats inside the main file and then take that out it doesn't work.

  4. I never downloaded the experimental version; 2 months later, I opened MC and read Play Offline 21w37a. I clicked on the launch button nothing happened. After doing research, I was able to return to the 1.17 java version I played before. When the real 1.18 drops, will it launch from the game, or will I have to hire a computer geek to do that for me?
