I have one 2 years old survival world I play and I would say that advice is to CREATE new worlds. I'm constantly starting a lot of new worlds with different chalanges (flatworld, skyblock, beta ect.) on the side and after few days of playing these worlds I going back to my main world with new ideas and double motivation to make something big.
"20 years! That's probably older than some of you watching now"
Laugh/cries in 30
Man you made me wana play Minecraft sooo bad. I havent played minecraft for 3 years because of school. Ty
these tips are really good, i have a 650 day world (minecraft days)
my biggest tip is to play creative, I have an 8 month old creative world because I found I just love to build, survival is a lot of fun but I design my builds here, it becomes a giant build log of everything I've ever done
only issue is mods, cant keep the same world with 100+ different mods and a different version of the game per playthrough lmao
For all the Capetonians 🙂 5:50
And Among Us made me SUS😂
another tip : try to reduce lag as much as possible in your world
yeah u may be good at minecraft but damn those blueprint drawings are cool
imo mods make everything better and if you want to increase your worlds lifespan just add some mods to it, maybe some decorative mods or something more like tech mods. it may give you more fun in appreciating the game.
i do some of these in my ark: survival evolved single player worlds
If you look at the broad strokes of the tips, this is actually an amazing analogy for life. I’ll definitely be applying some these irl!
For me it was Hardcore Mode, along with documentation, that allowed me to get attached to my worlds once again. My first Hardcore World was fun, but I didn't stop because I died (still alive actually), but because I had not documented anything, so I knew that if that world was lost, I would be the only one to remember it.
what if you played hardcore and die
and amongus made me sus
I think the worst reason I have for quitting my worlds is because im getting burned out by them, knowing I gotta do so much but not having any motivation to grind for the resources.
This is so motivating and relatable but it cause my worlds don't show up on the files because of renderdragon
One thing I do to stick to files is I use "Keep inventory" and I turn off mob griefing. Although I turn it back on when I am farming villagers but I turn it back off when I am done. That's how I keep the motivation to keep going so I don't lose a ton of stuff. Over the summer I made a pure survival file so no "cheats" like that and I was addicted to it for 2 weeks and got full fully enchanted netherite, pretty much every automatic and manual farm you can imagine and a few large cool builds. Then it glitched while I was flying to deliver a stack of diamonds to my moms house and I plummeted to the ground and died. Lost all of my armor that took ages to enchant and make. Sure it probably wouldn't have taken to long to redo but it was enough to make me quit for two weeks. Got it back but even then my motivation was so much reduced so I quit soon after.
I had my doubts because of your tiktok zoomer 0 attentionspan style of editing but these are genuinely really good tips. Awesome work man
How do I find slime chunks without using chunkbase or anything like that?
No
You have a beautiful bird on ur wallpaper :33
One thing I like to do is make farms, and that leads to huge industrial stuff in my world but to make it more fun I make those farms look good with building stuff around them
I think playing with friends helps, of course the one friend I play with is never answering my texts but it’s fun if you can
currently playing a super difficult modpack(GTNH) for more than half a year with my friend, I have a lot of idea wanted to build in that world, such as a pretty complicated train system(inspired by a modded RPG Minecraft server's railway system), a nasa base that would be where I launch the rockets, factories for different purposes like distillation, a farm that contains every farmable crops and animals with all possible different way of farming them, and more, and honestly I don't think I will be even close to finish the modpack in anytime soon
With th " expect lulls" part I relate to that one most being able to spend all the time I want with my girlfriend because it is summer and there is no school I am playing way less and I need that time with her and that break from Minecraft
The 10 year plan Stalin would have loved.
appreciate your work
I play 40 minutes, then restart the world.
I play like hermitcraft and I don't play single player, I have a few close friends on a server
All I heard the entire video “and Among Us made me sus”
My big goal in my world is to build a storage system that sorts every item in minecraft. Which I’ve calculated to be around 700 items
Somethings that helped me is having multiple projects within my hardcore. Different things to do if I did not feel like working on something.
Soemthimes that is building on a whole new part of my map with different aestethic and other times just grinding stuff for a later dream project.
When I eventually feel like starting that project I'll already have some stuff for it and feel more motivated to build.
Also something that I prefer is having my storage either in the End realm or in the spawn chucks of my world. That way I can just grab blocks for a build and hop back to where I was or if I'm lost I can just destroy my bed and hop in the portal to the starter chunks and find my way.
Most importantly though, if it does not spark joy as much as it used to take a break. Genuinely create some ideas while ur gone qnd when you feel motivated again the world is ready for you.
Documenting the world is def something I enjoy. Both with screenshot, small recordings and sharing it on platforms. I can proudly show of my stuff and skills while be able to scroll back and remember how far I've come. It's amazing how much is posible and its sad if the spark that you have for the thing you love to die out
sus
This helped me so much ty!😄
me trying to not reset my speedruns
I'm a builder who usually only builds tiny buildings so ima try and build a bigger build. I usually only build about 25 by 25 at most so can anyone give me any ideas for a big build that will fit in with my cottage core world
I don't have any super old worlds, because I just got back into playing last year (after a rly long time, I played like a tiny lil bit as a teen n I'm in my mid-20s now)
I don't hve the first two on my PC (though probably as backups on my external harddrive) and I think it's mostly because I used them for getting back into the game, one was just entirely on peaceful n the other…very cobbled together. And after getting used to the game again, I think it was also good to retire them, cuz they kinda fulfilled their purpose and I wasn't interested anymore.
I have a server with some friends, and…6 singleplayer worlds I think, all of which I regulary visit. (as well as occasionally playing othee games. my interest comes and goes in waves :'))
I tend to not stick with things for long, because my attention span is bad, and I need several things going at once. So I think for some players having and starting new worlds can also be helpful, cuz I don't see myself quitting any of my regular 6 (well, 7, w the server) worlds anytime soon.
Though I do think the secret for me is in the challenge. I'm more of a builder, so the worlds I keep are the ones I have themes for. I even seperate my creative worlds out, into the flatworld I draft in, and two generated ones I practice in when I don't feel like survival, one just completely my own ideas, the other I work off of tutorials and then go in after and turn them into my own thing :>
My survival worlds tend to have a building theme. Hel is my longest of the three, and has a witchy theme going on, I traveled thousands of blocks to even find my starting spot because I couldn't find a damn spruce forest anywhere and I had a vibe in mind, but it was worth it because I ended up finding a village in a rly cool spot that I'm also slowly transforming, so in the initial phases as I just have a lil witch-house it's very friendly witch of the village type vibes 😀
Aerie is a rly nice seed I discovered on the aprils fools update, and decided to actually go and play. It got me cause it got an azalea tree right by your spawn, and I like all the lush cave stuff. It's in general a great spawn for a builder tho. Traveling hours to find all the wood-types? Not in this world, it's all really nearby-
My initial theme is kinda, fishermen living bythe lake, and transforming the area to bring more of the lushness to the surface-
Last one is Mael, where I spawned in right by two shipwreck halves of different types that were buried and fit almost perfectly together, so it's themed around that, though I have the least progress there since I'm living on the ship for now-
I think for me part of the appeal is that I got different stages of progress. Sometimes I wanna be early game, so I hop into one of those, sometimes I wanna be in full netherite and have an elytra, so I hop on my server, which also got the whole different appeal that other ppl will use and profit from what I make, cuz the only place I made any farms so far is that one….
I do still start worlds. I just don't keep them. Sometimes I wanna play from scratch for a few hours and explore a new seed, so I do. Jut did it when I switched to my new PC and hadn't transferred my worlds yet. Unless it sparks a theme and initial build idea, I get bored after a while and have no qualms just deleting it too
I suspect it's less about not making new worlds, but like, finding what makes you stick with your old ones and not abandon them 😀
