I feel like Mojang is trying so hard to create hype for these updates, but then its just revealed to be something I could literally add to the game *myself*. I'm not saying these updates are bad, more mob variants is a good addition, but I can't help but feel disappointed by them.
It's like Mojang is clutching at straws trying to find ways to get people excited about the game, ever since they were forced to admit that mob votes were a bad idea. I feel like the small updates really reflect the future of this game in a bad light too … if this is the standard we start to accept that we are basically accepting that minecraft updates as a whole are nearing the end of their journey. When the microtransaction-fuelled marketplace gets better updates than the main game, then it becomes painfully clear which direction the company would rather go- the direction they started running towards years ago.
Maybe if you put Milk in a Cauldron, it will turn into cheese after some while.
