I personally don’t hate the trailer, and I think all the beef that came from it was mainly big creators dissing on it and their viewer base using their smol brains to think “much agreed 👍” I personally don’t think that the mob art style is bad and I find it creative in its own way. ( I think many ppl paused and were hyper focused on the bad parts of the model, but in reality you would only be seeing any mob for only a few seconds at a time.) Imo the only “bad” parts of this trailer are the proportions. I genuinely have no clue why ppl are so passionate about why “tHiS mOvIe iS gOnNa Be BaD☝️🤓”😭

Cool plot for the movie:
The " chosen heroes" that happen to be just random people get teleported into this unknown world where an ancient civilization used to spend their lives using creativity to their advantage, building structures and peacefully trading with villagers and piglins. One day a war broke up between the piglins and the human civilization and that is when they made the Wither as a weapon, but as you expect it didn't work, and the wither (now a wither storm) started killing everyone and so they ran into the end.
Steve is the only one that got left behind as a kid, and spent his life alone trying to survive and build, while also trying to find his lost family.
The heroes find Steve and they will go into an adventure trying to find clues on how to reach the end, fight (or tame )the ender dragon to either get materials for a powerful block/weapon (that could be the command block) to defeat the wither or use the ender dragon itself, to then make the world safe from all the mobs and reunite Steve with his kind.
I think that at some point in the movie, after they defeat the ender dragon they will come back to the real world, but they will be so immersed in the story that they will decide to come back to finish the job, to show that Minecraft doesn't really have an ending and you never stop playing it, but just take breakes from it. The movie will have a tragic backstory, but many jokes and an happy ending.
