  1. Okay no this is incorrect. You’d need a water bucket a lot more than you’d need a shovel if your just exploring the world. This is what I’d recommend:

    1. Sword
    2. Axe
    3. Pickaxe
    4. Bow (can be swapped with 5)
    5. Water bucket (can be swapped with 4)
    6. Blocks
    7. Food
    8. Rockets
    9. Chest plate (to quick swap with elytra)

    Offhand: Totem

  2. Sword, axe, pickaxe, food, water, building block, torch, potion, shield/secondary ranged weapon, main ranged weapon like a bow

Keeping a bow in your 9th a lot so all you have to do is scroll the other direction to change from melee to ranged quickly, keep water next to building blocks for a quick escape/fall, and it’s always good to have a secondary ranged weapon as a distraction so someone can focus on those lower damage things and then hit them with your main ranged weapon to rack up the damage!

  3. I usually have things between the tools that would fit with what tool you are using. Like with torches between the axe and pickaxe or a potion between the sword and bow. So honestly i feel like thats the best kinda setup for the hot bar than bog standard "first half is tools second half is blocks!"

  4. As a speedrunner my hotbar looks like this:
    1. Axe
    2. Pickaxe
    3. Shovel
    4. Bucket of lava or water
    5. Flint, Gold Block, E pearls, etc
    6. Boat
    7. Blocks
    8. Food
    9. Doors, fire res,obi, etc
    Off hand for fast looting
I also have a different loadout for end fights

  5. Bow and sword should be next to each other, a quick mouse roll should be the most instinctive movement we can do and allows shifting between long and short range in high combat scenarios far easier in my personal experience.

On the other side of sword, should be pickaxe in any practical combat scenario. You might not need a sword if your aiming to be an axe warrior, but that is a simple optimization that has made it far easier to deal with large amounts of mobs in various modded dungeons.
